Articles: My Thoughts | A festival for all - Mrs. sharmila Sanka

Diwali is not a festival of a Punjabi, Bihari or a Kashmiri
But that of every corner of a village in the whole of India
It is the day when the Moon is raged and leaves its abode-the sky. But humanity is happy and lightens the sky with their smiles.
When the moon leaves the gloomy Sky mercilessly, the people light up the crackers of fire which bedeck the vast sky
The moon behind closed doors looks outside into the sky
Only to be perplexed how the dark night became a dazzling ‘Day’ in no time.
It is this day when Rama returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of His exile. It is this day when Bhama is attributed for the demise of the evil Narakasura. It is this day when people of poverty and prosperity fill their hearts with fun
It is this day when Goddess Lakshmi reaches the rafters of pride and grace.
Diwali is a day of excitement that highlights the flying of lights at night. No matter what plight remaining of the world is wrapped with. When the mighty sky sparkles with lights as high as the flights. Isn’t the tight sky’s sight of ‘Festival of lights’ a festival for all?
“Let Goddess of Peace and Wisdom light your lives with Illumination and erase your illusion.”- Sharmila Sanka
