Articles: Devotion | I want to sing but I cannot - Mrs. sharmila Sanka
| |
A kingly feeling rings in me to sing thy glory O Lord
But
Words run away timidly saying even thousands of their families
Are scarce to explicate thy divine nature and beauty.
My eyes bow down in shame focusing on the truth
That their sinful sights dare not look into thy eyes of Virtue.
Before thy noble ears, my ears fold themselves inside
With the guilt of listening to words of no-sense.
My eyelids do not challenge to droop down even for a moment
With the fear of missing even one glance of yours.
My hands which do not join their hands for good hide behind my back
Thinking they do not deserve to be seen by you.
My feet step backward despite having you in the front
As they have no right to move in front when they cannot tread on right path.
My heart stops its beat with the fear of its noise which obstructs
The sound of your voice in the form of my Conscience.
But still
A kingly feeling rings in me to sing thy glory O Lord
Let Love flow like the blood in every part of my body
Let not my limbs become numb to love and praise you.
