It is no wonder a country like US ammassed great insider information on IRAQ using spy satellites, intercepting the telecom transmissions. Here is what I think and firmly beleive.
Whatever information, evidence they gather it is only going to be cirsumstantial. Given the dynamics, turbulences of internal occurrances within Iraq, US can never find out the true structure of political organization in Iraq.
The way India conducted nuclear tests is a good example. An even better example is the 10 billion dollars aid (out of 75 billion dollars)Israel was awarded for the intelligence information sharing. Just like the billions of dollars Pak milked out of USA for war against the Afghans.
Spy satellites might provide a few clues, but thats about it, nothing substantial. Truth is far far away from their reach. They still someone in the neighborhood.
