Articles: Poetry | My dog, my friend! - Mr. gauri shankar chemudupati
| |
Sad and gloomy I was
On the day when death befell
On my friend as thunderbolt.
In the guise of a road accident!
Staring at me was my dog,
Sitting steady and silent,
Tears warm rolling down it's eyes,
Red with sorrow and due to
Lack of food and sleep along with me!
It got up, looking sad with empathy,
Walking slowly,to my side it came;
Licked my feet and my hands,
With it's tongue wiped my cheeks!
Came closer still as if hugging me,
Transmitting the warmth of its feelings
And console me thereby!
Usurped in me a feeling of delight
As if my friend came back to me alive
In the shape of my dear dog!
