One day, while I was walking on the road, I saw her walking through on the road. That was the first time I saw her. Her body slender, her shape perfect, she moved gracefully on the road while the onlookers couldn’t help but gawk at her. She is everybody’s dream. I fell in love with her, love at first sight! I never believed in love at first sight but when I saw this beauty I just couldn’t help but realize that I was proved wrong. I love to be proved wrong in such a sweet way. She was magical! I felt desperate to touch her once and feel the smoothness and tenderness of her body. Alas! She is far away from me and I have to cross the road to reach her. So I pulled myself together to cross the road. Crossing road in Mumbai is more like a test to your patience than just going to the other side of the road.
I felt for a second that by the time I cross the road she would be gone. That thought was terrible and I did not want that to happen at any cost. This is the first time in life I had seen such an incredible beauty. How can I let her go! Look at the way she eases through the crowd with a grace that engages anybody looking at her. I felt I can look at her forever like this; I wanted this moment to be eternal. I was lost in my thoughts and got carried away for almost a minute when suddenly I realized I have to reach her. So I began crossing the road.
I tried to move forward, half of my thoughts occupied with her. The traffic and the vehicles seemed to have no mercy on me. They are not letting me move an inch forward. If this was to be the case I would never reach her. With time ticking away, I can sense my heart throb at a faster rate. I cannot afford to miss her! So I boldly moved forward looking at the approaching vehicles expecting them to slow down and let me cross the road. I moved on, only to realize that the vehicles are never going to slow down, what else I can expect from an express highway! But it was too late by the time I realized this, I was in the middle of the road. I could still see her; she was pacing away from me. God! If I could only reach her before she gets out of my sight. All of a sudden there was a loud screech, a sound of the brakes of a vehicle being applied. I did not understand what has happened but something had hit me hard. Everything went blank. It all happened in the fraction of a second. I was hit by a car in the middle of an express highway. I passed out.
