Articles: Poetry | A pitiable sparrow. - Ms. jyothi JyothiReddy
| |
Am as a sparrow alone upon a housetop.
My chirp revealing my sorrow
With few feathers and dry bones visible.
When the housetop became my permanent dwelling.
Clouds drawn showers in harmony with cool breeze,
Earth raised sweet savor as the sweet music of the heart.
Once again my soul taken life, the world
appeared so beautiful. I put up my strength in
cheer and went on to fly, with exponential joy.
I went in to flock and enjoying their sweet presence,
A day came, when I remembered my housetop,
A loving pleasant bloom invited me smiling.
A single glance brought me immense joy,
I kept with flower and thought it will be mine forever.
But day king doesn’t allow me to joy in its fellowship.
Sent his hot wings, dried the grass leaving me alive to die.
