During my stay in the USA, I happened to observe special counters in super markets for organic produce. But it’s Europe that showed me how vast the market for organic products is. Thus, I started my research on this.
We, the ‘modern’ human-beings of the 21st century have achieved so much high-tech ‘development’ that we are witnessing more and more hitherto unheard diseases. And thanks to all this development, the mother Earth has been indiscriminately spoiled.
The modern man thought he is very intelligent and can twist the nature to his advantage. Then he invented chemicals, pesticides and synthetic substances. He applied these developments to agriculture.
Finally, we are bearing the brunt of our development. The nature gave the unequivocal message to the man, “if you mess with me, I’ll mess with you too”. After a detailed research, scientists have declared that pesticide-based agriculture (shall we say ‘ugliculture’) is the primary cause behind the deterioration of human physiology, the ever-increasing list of diseases and the worsening health conditions. Pesticide-based food causes cancer, birth defects, genetic mutation, nerve damages, intoxication, obesity, blood pressure, erectile dysfunction and many more. Children are four times more exposed to more than ten widely used cancer-causing pesticides in food.
For a modern man burning with the passion to become wealthier and achieve more and more development, it may not be pleasant news but the fact is that we are paying now for the destruction we caused in the name of high-tech development.
Most of the food (including vegetables, fruits, meat, milk etc.) that we are eating now contains pesticides and chemicals. In the case of fast-food, ready-to-eat and processed foods the situation is even worse. Thanks to the pesticides-based agriculture and industrialization, even the ground water got contaminated. Due to the contaminated food and water, we are getting affected by diseases. Ironically we, the high-tech human-beings have no solutions for them.
