Andhra Pradesh boasts of nearly 1000 Kilometres of coastline with eight of its 23 districts having direct access to the sea Starting from Bheemunipatnam near Visakhapatnam down to Mypad in Nellore district. Visakhapatnam is a haven of long stretches of beaches with sunshine to bask carefree and places to explore on foot. Apart from Visakhapatnam, other lovely beaches are in Manginapudi, Kakinada, Chirala, Kalingapatnam, and Mypad. The balmy breeze beckons one to be adventurous on water. Visakhapatnam environs present a soul-stirring panorama of golden beaches, lush green vegetation. There will be regular exhibition in this beach throughout the year. But the park near this beach is much-attracted by the tourists as well as regular visitors. Gangavaram beach: It is not safest beach on this part of coast but it has picturesque settings. At present only film shootings are allowed with prior permission. Sagar Durga beach: It is peaceful and enticing one. Tourists can enjoy a holiday on picturesque settings. But Sea escapists have to cross harbour bay to reach this beach. Yarada Konda Beach: It is adjacent to Yarada Konda rock jutting. It is calm, peaceful and enticing. It is trekkers' delight and near main lighthouse. Access & Accommodation: All these beaches are in stretch of 50 Kilometres coastline of Bay of Bengal. Plenty of accommodation is available for tourists at Visakhapatnam. Rishikonda Beach: A golden, unspoiled beach, washed by the sun-warmed sea, Rishikonda is 8 Kilometres away from Visakhapatnam. This spot is ideal for swimmers, water skiers, and wind surfers. This beach is a peaceful and enticing one. The balmy breeze beckons one to be adventurous on water. Bheemunipatnam Beach: About 25 Kilometres from Visakhapatnam, located at Gosthani River. It is also the site of the ruins of the eastcoast's oldest Dutch settlement (17th century).
