I was wondering what Bhakti is! Suddenly it occured to me that it is a manifestation of Love of God. The meaning is that Bhakti does not exist until there is love! When will I be really devoted to you? Only when I love you in reality.
Herein lies a difficulty. God manifests himself in various forms and yet the devotee is confused as to the existence aspect of God! Since I see your physical form, I can express my love for you. But, as the physical form of God is not seen by ordinary men and women, it becomes difficult for them to accept His/Her existence in toto. Hence the hurdles in devotion.
The secret I see is that just as we believe in air though it is invisible, from our perception of a breeze or zephyr, we can believe in God through His/Her dynamics. Then, the faith having been established, it becomes easy to love God....
Transcendental Love of God, in Krishna Consciousness, is manifested in the form of devotional service. once Bhakti is attained, you will attain everythoing you may desire. Nay! You will give up all desire barring the desire to perceive God!
