In those hollow eyes
Where all the dreams are dry
Has it caught any ones sight
Who can see through the plight
Long ago there was life
Was snatched away by strife
Will I ever see that twinkle
In those hollow eyes
Once filled with vibrance
And danced with exuberance
All I see is placid sea
In those hollow eyes
Scouted for true love
But found false deceit
What more can one expect to see
In those hollow eyes
