Articles: Poetry | Love Me Tender - Ms. Hakila Sikhamani Pasham
| |
The wonderful womb
That guarded me
From slipping down to the tomb
The open arms
That hugged me warm
Protected me from all the harm
The sweet smile
That I first saw with half-opened eye
Lasted more than just a while
The glowing face
Said it all
You are my beautiful baby
Who made me win through it all
The life giving crest
That surrounded me
Assured you can safely rest
The untiring eyes
Woke up all night
Put me to sleep to dream about the skies
Today, I look back and wonder
How could my mother
Ever love me so tender
Dedicated to all the lovely MOTHERS
