Sri.Rameshnaidu's VARDHANTHI(Death Anniversary)is on 2nd September.I feel honoured to remember him on this day,since his melodies are still haunting me.His aspiration to become a singer, forced him to go to Bombay from his birth-place Kondapalli(Krrishn Dt).His determination ,dedication and talent made him a Music-director at a tender age of eighteen for a Marathi film 'BHANDAVAL PAHIJE',Which was produced and directed by sri.Kishore Sahu (Star Producer,Director and Artiste).
Later on he composed for several Hindi films.His first film in telugu is 'DAMPATHYAM',produced by Mirjapur Raja.His compositions in 'MANORAMA' still remembered by music-lovers.He is the first music-director in India to compose music for several languages hindi, telugu, tamil, kannda, marathi, bhojpuri, oriya, bengali, punjabi and napalese.
His desire to sing a song was ful-filled in the picture'CHANDANA'(O Rama Sakkani Bangaru Bomma),1973.He had won A.P Sate Award as a best singer for his song in 'Chillara Kottu Chittemma'(Talli Godarike Aatupotundante),1976.He was selected as a best music-director several times by A.P.Government.He had won National Award for his compositiions in the film 'MEGHA SANDESAM'.He had given alot of hit songs,but he is not so popular as his songs are.Because he had mantained very low-profile through-out his life.As long as Music stands for Melody, so long his songs will be remembered.May his soul rest in peace.
