Articles: My Thoughts | Stop Moral Policing - Mr. Rajeswar J
| |
Naga Phani Sharma is a talented Avadhani and I admire his talent, irrespective of his personal life. When it comes to his personal life, (good, bad or ugly) we shouldn’t be overzealous because if he has done anything wrong law would take its course. Except the aggrieved party, nobody has got locus standi to criticize – amounting to character assassination. One should not get carried away by rage and emotion after ‘sensing’ something ‘spicy’. One should not be judgmental on others’ character, because no one is sure about one’s own character. Whenever a controversy engulfs any celebrity, people start moral policing and start asking for his/her blood. Is it a reflection of our ‘latent’ jealousy? We never know if there are ‘politics’ involved in the case against Naga Phani Sharma, until the veracity of the allegation is proved and the case is established.
At least in TP, I expect people to be more enlightened. I request TP editorial team to exercise some ‘censor’ against the character assassination campaign against Naga Phani Sharma (for that matter any celebrity).
Please don’t mistake me as a conservative male chauvinist. I am not condoning the act allegedly done by him; I am just trying to be objective – nothing less, nothing more.
