All our religious books and our Hindu culture from ages inculcated in us to give, give, give and help the needy, feed the poor and do it with least expectation. Our experience in life shows us that the good karma we do will not only benefit us it also accrues its benefits to our close kith and kin too. A good deed of gesture, a kind word, a helping hand, charity given with genuine feelings of sharing the burden of the needy and hungry people will never go in vain, when we do all that with least expectation, but just with a pure heart. Today, when we sit in big and luxurious cars, palace like homes and plenty to enjoy life we definitely tend to think Do we deserve all this? What did we do really to have this posh and comfortable life? The answer comes from within It is the generosity and ideal life of your parents and their prayers and their blessings which has bestowed you with a good life. The good karma done by us in this birth or previous birth are also carried forward. So if we keep it in mind and render help to the needy and have compassion for the fellow human being, will this world not be a heaven on this earth one day? I am delighted to see many Indian families who are settled abroad really working together to keeps our faith in religion or God all the time glowing bright with their continued efforts and co-ordinated programmes. Every month or Every week or Every fortnight there are some religious gatherings organized wherein people chant or do bhajans and then enjoy the Prasad together. It becomes a common platform to all the like minded people. Here we remember and always keep it in mind Anna data Sukhi Bhava the age old saying. Treating people with food and making the guest feel invited and warm greetings with each other really promotes positive attitude and relaxation to those who are tired with week long work in offices and refreshes their outlook too. It does not have to be necessarily a religious gathering. Deeds irrespective of religion, done on humanitarian grounds also will benefit the mankind. But here I have emphasised the religious groups just as an illustration. A good deed done always remains as a good deed in whatever perspective you perform it. People spending their earning in giving food or clothing to the needy and making serious efforts to treat one and all with love and respect with a smile on your face is really a commendable thing. Ofcourse there are Legends like Dokka Sitamma garu who is still alive in our minds with her selfless service to the people.
