YEARLY ELECTION
- Mr. ALOK KUMAR ALOK
  Page: 1 of 1
LOWER HOUSE AS so much have been written on this topic in detail. i think in a democtratic country and a largest democratic country where each and every think going in a democratic way. there is no need for every year election. There are more loss and if I say there is no profite then it would not be wrong. I would like to describe it topic wise:- 1. The process for a election is a very tough task. we have to prepare mentally and physically. we got disturb everything. As I read in earlier written eassy some of my friend has written that there will be more schemes (e.g. distribute cycle to girls for school, and other schemes). Do we ever consider why this type of scheme comes only election time, the very simple reason to attract voter. this time of scheme doesnot have solid base. UPPER HOUSE As we have a seperate election body ELECTION COMMISSION which takes care for a free & fare elcetion, but sofar the result is not good. as in the recently election commission was trying to debar the person who have a criminol or bad background, the commission was opposed only by politician. In india with a population of over one billion and an electorate of over 600 million runs the largest election among all democracies of the world and the situation here can hardly be compared with that of other countries which have to conduct elections. The number of pollinmg booth in general elections in India is about 9 lakh, each requiring a minimum of five person, means minimum 4.5 million and minimum 2million police personnel required and civil servants, teachers are withdrawn from their regular duties. I would like to say that Loksabha and State Assemblies & Local Bodies election mut be held at the same time. For that we have to make a law, if state assembly is not in majority then there should be some alternative way to avoide elections befor five years, as this type of law is in GERMANY that is called 'GERMAN MODEL'. As per the election code of conduct the Govt cann't declare policies since the date for election has been declared, so our development project get postponed. We have to restrict the condidate for extra expenditure, because we are a developing country and we cann't afford that much of expenditure in election only. So finally, I would like to say don't think about cycle distribution on free electricity. we have to think for a long term policy which will be beneficial to us & for our country also. Thank you
