Heaven and Hell

There is a popular conception among the people that God judges the people by balancing their Good deeds and Wrong deeds. If the Good deeds are more than the Wrong deeds then they would go to heaven. If it is otherwise they would end up in hell. If this is the situation that prevails there would be lots of uncertainty. 1. How are we to know that our Good deeds are more than our Wrong deeds? 2. How do we decide how much good to be done for every wrong deed? Is there a measurement that one wrong is worse, the other better etc. 3. If God forgives us on repentance of our sins, then what good does it make to accumulate good deeds against the wrong deeds done? 4. It is impossible to keep account of every good and wrong deed done, thus there is lots of uncertainty of where you will end up. If you are not certain, then there is a doubt in your faith upon God. How do we overcome all these questions? 1. Let us assume that God balances good and wrong deeds and awards us the judgment to heaven or hell. In this case we can be 51% good and 49%bad. Just in case we come to know that we are 60% good then we are still eligible to make 9% bad deeds. Does God encourage Sin? Never!! Let us consider an example: 1 Every body knows about Mahatma Gandhi, If Gandhi murders a person and stands before a judge for trial, will the judge forgive Gandhi because he got us freedom. Will he not be treated fair and punished for the wrong he did? Example: 2 A man sees an accident nearby his house and saves the lives of 4 persons involved in that accident. After a few days he murders a person out of rage. If he stands before a judge for trial, what judgment do you think the judge will pronounce. Will he say that because you saved 4 persons earlier and now your murdered one person, still you are eligible to kill another two? Or will he pardon his act just because he saved the 4 persons before. Does it not sound ridiculous!! Where do we get this conscience of right judgment? Is it not from God? If we human beings are pronouncing judgment so righteously, will not the righteous God judge us according to our sins. 2. Is there anything like big sin and small sin? Certainly not. All sins falls in same category. Do we balance a good deed like saving a person life by doing one robbery, one cheating and 2 lies? If there are ten rules to follow and person A breaks one rule and person B breaks three rules, do we not call both of them guilty of breaking rules. Sin is sin. There is no measurement of greater or lesser sin. 3. God forgives a repentant heart. If we truly repent for our sins, God forgives us and does not hold the sin against us. If God forgives all our sins on repentance, then why do we have to depend on our good deeds to go to heaven? We can very well go to God for forgiveness of all sins. So the bad deeds are always at 0% in our account. 4. If God is to treat us based on our performance alone, then none of us will go to heaven. How many of you can say that you have not sinned today? If there is lots of uncertainty of where we would end up eternally, is it not miserable? Where there is uncertainty there is doubt in the faith we profess. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Can you worship your God wholeheartedly with doubt in your heart? We plan so well in advance for even small things in life, like going for a vacation, changing jobs, getting married etc. These things will affect us only for a limited period, but what about the life after death? Do we not have to take up adequate measures to end up in a secured place? Are you ready to go to hell eternally? Why we are not bothered? Do you want to know the truth? If yes then search for it. Search until you get it. Search for Him, who gives you assurance that all your sins are forgiven. Note Worthy: Not believing in God is the root cause of all the sin. If we do not believe in God we will never come to know of God standard of living. We compromise on all good deeds for wrong. Whichever act makes us comfortable; we embrace those teachings and follow life. Example: Telling a Lie is wrong in every sense. People say that if you lie for a good cause then it is alright. This holds true for all people because “Truth/Good” has become subjective to them. What may seem good to some people may seem bad to other people. Universal Truth: Do not lie Subjective Truth: You can lie for a good cause. A and B are good friends. B does a mistake and when C comes and asks person A to witness the truth, what is A supposed to do? He may witness false and say that he has saved his friendship by false witnessing. It is good for A. In general what A did was absolute wrong. Unless we go to God we will never know that we are under sin. We will not receive the conviction as nobody on earth is upright. What are we supposed to do? Believe in God. Confess our mistakes and seek his help to live a proper life. Repentance: Forgiveness is already given by God for all people even before asking. Repenting will help people to open up their hearts and accept it.
