She …
With lowered eyes she awaits
With spirit lying behind closed doors
She casts her innocent desires into a well
Where dreams fade into an unknown hell.
Her hope fades as she has grown
Always awake and always alone.
Painfully she knowingly endures,
Becoming as ice on some far cold shore.
Within her mind she awaits something new,
While her heart hopes for something new.
Fresh olive skin and such delicate ears
To listen and listen … but never hears,
Those words that tell her, her life is fair.
Such sorrows and hopes have no room to share
For her hopes of love faded as she has grown.
To be always awake and always alone.
As a woman she patiently endures herself,
Lost, icy cold within those spiritual waters.
As her mind seeks for something new,
Her body it screams for something new.
The crowds gazed up in awe at her beauty
And hid her thoughts in passing of her doubts
From those whom watched in hope of her failure.
She sought freedom from the binding sorrows
That faded her hopes as she had grown.
Painfully awaken and so painfully alone.
So she patiently endured that,
Which sent her spirit to icy cold emotional shores.
