Badrinath & Kedarnath
My parents reached uphill of Kedernath and finished darshanam and they are coming down.which is 16 kms far.
Initially they thought to go on horses to get down but they decided as its just 2:30 PM and they are not going to do anything after reaching room.
They started towards downhill of kedernath which is total 16 kms down (sea level)
The lane is very narrow about 1.5 -2 meters. In this road both uphill and downhill traffic includes.
My parents watching and enjoying the beauty of the nature while coming down the kedernath hill.
They can see pilgrimages’ coming up , some are walking and some are going on horses
People are going down the hill on horses fast and fast..
They reached half of the journey 8 kms by 5.00 PM. and still half way to go..
They can have nap (sleep ) that night if they want on half way as everything is available like blankets, bed sheets, bed etc..etc..
They decided to come down as they have plenty of time and lets sleep at the hotel.
They are coming down and down and slowly they cannot find any horses coming up towards hill, they cannot see anyone coming upwards.
and they cannot even find anyone going down the hill.. at about 5.20 PM they were only 2 people can be seen on that hill and they got bit scared and did not know
what is happening and why people are not coming up or going down..
They just walking and coming down the hill and slowly its getting dark.
the walking road is very narrow and just about 1.5-2 meter long and rough road and big and huge valley if anyone miss this road.
its about 8 kms deep valley who ever misses this road... and thick forest around.
It getting darker and darker and by about 5.45 PM. They thought that people will be walking 24 hours like tirupathi hills.
they were just 2 walking on that hill and getting darker and darker and they cannot see any more light..
just stood for 1 min and thinking .. what a mistake we did by coming down the hill from halfway.
