HINDUISM - do we know it's value ???

How many people out there know the good things of hinduism ? The west portrays hinduism as rigid and inflexible and filled with superstitions; some people even had the nerve to call hindu's as IDOL worshipper's. What they perhaps do not realize is that at some point in their life they must have answered a question 'WHO IS YOUR IDOL or ROLE MODEL?', little do they realize that this word was coined on the fact that the idols which hindu's worship are the supreme beings and the fact that their actions when they assumed the human form and did the things they did and the preachings and the message of true love they had conveyed. HINDUISM is the only religion in the world which does not propagate itself, unlike Christianity which is spreading around the world by enticing people to join it, by showing incentives. If one were to read the VEDA'S, they would know that the oldest books that humans have ever known depict the rise of a new religion in the west and also the birth of jesus(YESHUVA) much before the event did take place. We read the writings of Nostradamus with extreme interest, but how many of you out there know that there are many more facts that were written in the VEDA's much before Nostradamus' time. To be a hindu you have to be born as one and there is no other way to be a hindu. Do you think that you are fortunate ? I do not for once negate the fact that there are some rigid beliefs in the religion like superstitions, but how many of you know the reason behind them, the scientific explanations are also available for some superstitions. Ever bother to check them out ?? People talk about certain social evils in hinduism like the SATI etc. These were coined to protect rather than to punish, based on the social structure prevalent in those days. Over all hinduism is a religion which is very long misunderstood which is really due to the fact that the knowledgable people of the past did not believe in sharing knowledge. But, with changing times and changing society the religion should also change, if it has to withstand the onslaught which in the case of hinduism is a time consuming process because it is oldest religion man-kind has ever known of. So, let us not be in a hurry !! and think about it ?? Are you thinking about it ?? So the next time anyone of you open your mouth to criticize our religion or you hear someone criticize it you know what to say ?? DON'T YOU ??
