· Whom should a common man in India can approach when he sees something not at all acceptable and something?
· Whom should a woman with civic sense approach when she sees something uncivilized happens at the behest of the government that is supposed to prevent the same, in the first place?
· When the government spends public money for publishing the photographs of Political Leaders and self-praising or Marketing in reality their programmes and projects?
· When the watchdogs of the constitution fail to function and stop the government from doing things that add no value to a common man, where shall the common man go and appeal?
· When the so called political parties who are in opposition of the government in the legislative bodies at the state and the center do not pay attention to an atrocity the government commits because they too would have to commit the same when they come to power, why the Election Commission do not take cognizance of it?
· When news papers do not provide follow up reports that logically conclude a news report published as a sensational and national news, which agency shall jump into action to penalize such news papers/ magazines?
The above are some of the questions that have been raising in the minds of many common Indian citizens since independence. In the name of the Independence the governments at the state and center have indulged heavily – rather competed with each other very well – in spending the public money. The 60th Independence Day celebrations are the testimony to this useless spending.
20th August being the birthday of Rajiv Gandhi India’s former Prime Minister and the Husband of UPA Chairperson Ms. Sonia Gandhi, the Congress Governments in the States and at the Center have lavishly released full page Advertisements with the large size photographs of Rajiv Gandhi. The Govt of Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Dr. YSR has been competing with itself in names schemes after Rajiv and Indira.
The ruthless way of spending public money of Rs.160 crores for making Stones with Indira photograph to be mounted on the walls of the free houses the Govt of AP had built for the poor, is the symbol of worshipping a single individual in India and imposing on many to have her name and photo as part of their lives.
