| |
'How could you my pupil proclaim
That night has gone and day has come?'
Asked the Holy Teacher
To test his students' caliber
'Is it if we can see and identify
That it is a Bee or Butter fly'
'Nay' said the Teacher
And turned to the other
'Is it O Holy Master
If we could see and say
That it is a deer or elephant'
Answered one student
'No! No!' denied the Teacher
'Then how?' they asked in despair
'It is when you see the face of your neighbour
And recognise him as your brother
If you do not have that virtuous sight
No matter what time it is, IT'S STILL NIGHT '
