I really came to experience the effectiveness of this proverb recently. Actually my parents grant me whatever I want despite my irresponsibility and childish nature. They are the biggest boon for me for which I need not ask God for anything else. But the incident I am narrating now is concerned purely on our will. I will now introduce my hindi teacher, Smt. Lakshmi Prasanna, who was a telugu teacher at first to us. I was introduced to her in my 6th standard when I changed to a new school.( Those who read my poems knew that I studied in 2 schools.(Nursery to 5th class, 6th to 10th)I have written a poem,'My childhood friends' expressing my feelings for my friends in first school.) Why I am mentioning about her is she is the person who is responsible for my poetry. I will first inform the significant moment in my life and then my experience with this proverb. I had to change to other school after 5th standard. In new school, in the new environment, I first became close to my telugu teacher, Smt. Lakshmi Prasanna. I became a best student to her. In my previous school, all of us are very close to our teachers. So I was more attached to her soon for her pampering. Usually children has to take lunch in a common verandah. But when she brings carriage(afternoon meal) to school, she and me used to take meal in our classroom. On one such day, she told me that I had 'Aasu Kavitha' in me. I asked her what it is. She told that I have an ability to speak in rhymes which if developed, I can be able to write poetry. I kept it in my mind. This was in my 6th standard.I was 11 years old then. One day I sat in upstairs and tried to write poems to test my teacher's assertion. I came up with 5 couplets in my mother tongue, telugu and I showed them to my parents and teacher. Everyone praised and encouraged me a lot. I am very gifted for even if I have a very little talent in me, everyone encouraged me to make it for sure. She got married after my 10th standard and she is staying in Vijayawada from then with her husband. She is now a mother of two kids(boys). I used to write letters to her now and then. She replied once or twice. I kept her informing my progress in this field. Though she used to come to our Nellore in Summer holidays, she hardly stays for 5 days. So we couldn't talk or personally meet each other except for one time when I visited her when she gave birth to her first kid. Once she rang to our home but I was in Bangalore then. From March 20th this year, I attended my Uncle's school as a science teacher upto vacations(Apr'23rd) as their science teacher has to take leave for unavoidable circumstances. One day teacher rang to my house. I was not in my home. My mother has noted the phone no. She said that she had to leave on that day. Soon after I came to my home, my granny informed me the message. Immediately I rang to her. But no one lifted. I tried 3 to 4 times in an half-an-hour and I stopped trying, felt very disappointed. I thought no one lifted the phone because everyone went to the station to send off her. Later by 2.30 P.M., I got a phone from her. I couldn't recognize her voice in phone for the first time I am listening her in this medium. I spoke with her for 20 minutes. Felt very happy. She made me talk with her husband and to her two kids also. He asked me to come to their home as they have to leave in Pinakini Express.(Departure time is 5'o clock.) But I couldn't do so because it will take nearly 2 hours to go to their home. Then it will be 4.30. They should be at the station atleast by 4.45 P.M. I expressed the same to him. He asked me why couldn't I come to Railway station as it is nearer to my home. The next day the 7th class students have science exam. So I had to take private class from 3'o clock to 5'o clock that day. It will not be good if I take permission. I replied the same to him. He said ok. I searched for my english poems' printouts and tag them and corrected the mistakes. I also could get some of my telugu poems written in papers and kept in different books. I requested my brother to go to station and meet her and give her my poems. But he refused. I just dropped the idea to meet her. Still I persuaded my brother to come to school if he can change his mind meanwhile. When I started taking the class, children(students) asked me to give one hour permission so that they can take a light meal and return to study upto 8'o clock. I asked whether it is feasible and their parents permit and headmaster agrees. They said, no problem. I asked my uncle who is an English teacher. He granted me the permission. I was very much delighted because I make up my mind that I couldn't meet her this time. Felt very rejuvenated, I have given break for them from 4:30 to 5:30. In a very happy mood, I started by 4:35 P.M. It will take 15 minutes to go to station from the school. I had taken some amount from my uncle to buy biscuits to her children and also to buy platform ticket. It is 4:50 when I reached the station and bought platform ticket. I searched for her in one direction. I have gone to the end in this direction. I felt very sorry that I couldnt' meet her even though I arrived at the station in time. I was in a hurry. I literally walk as if I run and began to search in another direction. At last I could find her. I handed over my poems to her and we two felt very happy for such a meeting after many years. Anyone who watches us there can identify the glow on our faces. It is really a wonderful meeting. Her husband was watching both of us admiringly and he also felt happy. I wished her husband and father and have given biscuit packet to her younger kid. He also said to me that she used to say about me every now and then. Meanwhile she searched her bag to give something to me and has given chocolates to me. I was surprised when she said that she has come to nellore only the previous day. She had to go today because of her younger kid who is very mischievous and naughty. Her husband invited me to visit them in their home in Vijayawada. It is only 3 minutes that we could talk and she boarded the train and went. I ate the chocolates on the way only. My joy knew no bounds. I was very happy that I could meet her where in the situation is otherwise little difficult to do so. I really felt and experienced the proverb, 'Where there is a will, there is a way'. It may seem a very small incident to you. But if you could empathize with my feelings, you can understand what goes on in my mind on that day.
