| Ingredients: | | | | | | | Basmati Rice | : | ¾ cup | | | Split Red Gram | : | 2 cups | | | Mutton Stock | : | 1 ¾ ltr | | | Olive Oil | : | 4 tbsp | | | Onion | : | 1 (minced) | | | Salt | : | 1 tsp | | | Black Pepper Corns | : | ½ tsp (powdered) | | | Cumin Seeds | : | ½ tsp | | | Cinnamon Powder | : | ¼ tsp | | | Cloves Powder | : | A pinch | | | | |
| | Preparation: | | | | Heat oil in a pan add onions and fry till they become soft brown. Add rice. Fry for 3 minutes. Pour stock. Let it boil. Add salt, pepper, cinnamon powder, cumin, and cloves powder. Bring to boil. Reduce the flame and let it boil for 5-8 minutes. Add red gram, cover and cook on a slow fire till they are well cooked. Transfer the soup into bowls and garnish with pepper powder. Serve hot. |
