Arabian Soup

Ingredients:
 
 
 Basmati Rice:¾ cup
 Split Red Gram:2 cups
 Mutton Stock:1 ¾ ltr
 Olive Oil:4 tbsp
 Onion:1 (minced)
 Salt:1 tsp
 Black Pepper Corns:½ tsp (powdered)
 Cumin Seeds:½ tsp
 Cinnamon Powder:¼ tsp
 Cloves Powder:A pinch
 
 
Preparation:
 
Heat oil in a pan add onions and fry till they become soft brown. Add rice. Fry for 3 minutes. Pour stock. Let it boil. Add salt, pepper, cinnamon powder, cumin, and cloves powder. Bring to boil. Reduce the flame and let it boil for 5-8 minutes. Add red gram, cover and cook on a slow fire till they are well cooked. Transfer the soup into bowls and garnish with pepper powder. Serve hot.
