Moong Dal Halwa

Ingredients:
 
 Green Gram:250 gm (washed)
 Sugar:400 gm
 Ghee:200 gm
 Almonds:10 (chopped)
 Raisins:10
 Cashewnuts:5
 
Preparation:
 
Clean, wash and soak dal for half an hour. Drain and grind it to a fine paste. Fry ground dal in ghee, stirring constantly till it turns light brown in colour.
 
Make sugar syrup of one thread consistency and add to the fried dal. When no syrup is left add raisins and remove from fire.
 
Serve hot, decorated with chopped almonds and cashew nuts.
