| Preparation: | | Koftas Preparation: | Heat ghee in a pan. Fry grated carrots for 10-15 minutes to remove raw smell. Turn off fire and let it cool. | | Peel and mash boiled potatoes. Add fried carrots, peas, paneer, coriander leaves, salt and red chilli powder. Mix well. Make lemon sized balls from the dough and roll them in gram flour. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan and deep fry the koftas till they turn golden brown in colour. Let the fried koftas reserved. | | Gravy Preparation: | Heat oil in a pan. Put bay leaves, add chopped onions and fry till the onions changes in colour. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder, poppy paste, cashew paste, cinnamon powder and cardamom powder. Fry for 3-4 minutes. Now add tomato puree, spring onion paste and salt. Fry till the oil oozes out at the edges. Add curd mix well and pour water into it. Add fried koftas into it. Bring everything to boil. Reduce the flame and cook for 5-7 minutes. Serve hot with rotis or with hot rice. | |
