Ingredients: | | | Whole Wheat Flour | : | 1 cup (200 gm) | | Plain Flour (Maida) | : | 3 cups (600 gm) | | Salt | : | 1½ tsp (7gm) | | Sugar | : | 1 tbsp (15gm) | | Fresh Yeast | : | 25 gm | | Yoghurt | : | 4 tbsp (60 ml) | | Butter | : | as required | | White Sesame Seeds | : | 1 handful | |
| Preparation: | | Dissolve yeast in warm water. Sift together wheat flour and plain flour. Mix flours, salt, sugar and yoghurt well. | | Add in soaked dissolved yeast into it. Mix again well. Make the mixture into stiff and soft dough adding enough water. Cover the dough with a clean and damp cloth and let it stand for 20 minutes. Knead again and cover with cloth. Keep it in a warm place for more than half an hour and allow it to rise. | | Roll the dough into 1.5 cm thick small puri sized circles. Stick the circles inside the lid of a hot tandoor. Bake them for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the naans and press gently. | | Fry the baked naans in butter and serve hot! |
