Ingredients: | | | All Purpose Flour | : | 2¼ cups | | Granulated Sugar | : | ½ cup | | Softened Butter | : | ½ cup | | Molasses | : | ½ cup | | Egg | : | 1 | | Cinnamoun Powder | : | 1½ tsp | | Baking Powder | : | 1 tsp | | Baking Soda | : | ½ tsp | | Ground Ginger | : | 1 tsp | | Cloves Powder | : | ½ tsp | | Nutmeg Powder | : | ½ tsp | | Baking Soda | : | ½ tsp | | Salt | : | ½ tsp | |
| Preparation: | | Preheat oven to 350°F. | | Put flour, sugar, butter, molases, egg, cinnamon powder, ginger, baking soda, baking powder, cloves powder, nutmeg powder and salt in a large mixing bowl and beat till they are well mixed. Cover the bowl and keep it in freidge for one hour. Take half of the dough and roll it to 1/8' thickness on a lightly floured surface. | | Cut the dough with dusted cookie cutter into shapes. Using a pancake(dosa) turner, lift and place cookies ½' apart on greased cookie sheets. Knead and roll the trimmings and continue to cut shapes. | | Bake the cookies until they turn very lightly browned. Transfer cookies into a wide plate and let them to cool completely. | | Repeat the same procedure with the other half of the dough. Store the cookies in airtight jars when they are completely cooled. | | Note: You can make shapes like people, animals, or anything you desire. |
