Goan Prawn Curry

Ingredients:
 
 Prawns:2 kgs
 Ladies Fingers:½ kg
 Onions:¼ kg (chopped)
 Tamarind:50 gm
 Garlic:10 flakes (chopped)
 Ginger:small piece (chopped)
 Green Chillies:30 gm (slit length wise)
 Turmeric Powder:½ tsp
 Coconut Oil:4-5 tbsp
 Salt:to taste
 Grated Coconut:6-8 tbsp (finely ground)
 
Preparation:
 
Remove shells from prawan. Devein and wash them well.Heat oil in a pan, add onions and saute for 2 minutes. Add coconut paste, garlic, ginger, green chillies and turmeric. Add prawns and pour enough water water to cook prawns.
 
Wipe ladies fingers with a clean and damp cloth. Cut them into 2 inch pieces. Fry them in oil till light brown.
 
Add fried ladies fingers to prawans and cook on low fire. When it is almost cooked, add tamarind extract and salt.
 
Cook on a low fire till done. Remove from fire and serve with steaming rice.
