Potato Chips

Ingredients:
 
 Potatoes:1 kg
 Oil:for deep frying
 Salt:to taste
 
Preparation:
 
Wash and peel potatoes. Slice them very thin using a potato slicer.
 
Soak the slices at once into a bowl of ice cold water and let stand for at least one hour. Or keep the bowl in a fridge.
 
Pat the slices dry with a clean cloth.
 
Fry in hot oil until a light golden brown. Don't fry too many at once.
Drain on paper towels or any kind of absorbent paper.
 
Salt lightly. Let them cool and store sealed in plastic bags or airtight containers.
