The repurcussion of Sri Sri Tridandi Ramanuja Chinnajiyar Swamiji to the irresponsible comments of Mr. Prakash Singh, Retd. DGP, is wonderful and exceptional. After all what do Mr. Singh thinks of himself? Being an authority doesn't mean omnipotency. Who are Kasi pandits to check the sanctity of Tirumala and principles of Hindu sastras. How dare is he to comment that he knows more about Agama Sastra than Sri Jiyar Swamiji?
Tirumala is a holy place and second largest in the world with respect to pilgrims and popularity. That is not a place for VVIPs to show their power. If we allow helicopters and planes and for helipad on Tirumala that will disturb pilgrims and also it will be a disturbance to the continuous chanting there. We must respect the sanctity of the place. Temple's standards and few practises are not up to the mark and as expected. We should thrive and insist on the improvement in all fronts.
Can the same Mr. Prakash singh comment the same on any Muslim practise or their religious leaders? Can he dares enough to question the ways and means of christians? When we, Hindus, exercise patience and forgive those who make nonsensical comments and objectionable remarks, people took us for granted. Ours is a philosophy that 'Every sinner will be punished as their sins'. So we leave the adamant person to god's judgement and simply maintain restraint for patience and tolerance are always considered as the touchstones for our grade in spirituality.
But our patience is taken for granted as cowardice and helplessness. Every Tom and Dick uses their dirty tongue to abuse us and our practises. This is high time that we should revert back strongly. And now Sri Tridandi Chinna Jiyar Swamiji gave a befitting answer very effectively. Hope those who cannot see clearly should shut their bad mouths.
