God Vs Human Nature
- Ms. Prasanthi Uppalapati
  Page: 1 of 1
I have had a special relationship with god which I lost. In that troublesome and trying period, I wrote 3 to 4 poems. Wishing to write a story too....(don't know when I can). To understand this poem fully, you can read my 'Why Salvation?', 'With - Without God', 'Anger on God' and 'Atmaghosha'. This is the sequence. Why Salvation was written 2 years back. 'With-Without God' was written 1 1/2 year back. The next two were 2 months back. The current one is the latest...... few min back God Vs Human Nature Oh God! With all the serenity in face, full of sincerity and grace you attract the human race. Bless all those who prays, with the merciful rays and bountiful ways. An Ocean of love, grants the wishes An embodiment of mercy, pardons our sins You never question our whims though our selfish manner pins slowly and steadily, improves our standards teaches us patience, to bear the life's orders But, most of us, who dwells in your love dreams of earthly love. We, your creation, never craves for an eternal relation. No one can guess, the ways you bless Though you are omnipotent and omnipresent seeks delight to be a humble servant devotion strikes the strings of emotions in you but who treads for salvation are very few Through our ignorance and innocence we neglect your presence seeking only presents When some bad and some hurt becomes inevitable..... our mind, full of incessant thoughts, shivers, heart, full of passionate dreams, quivers. when you remain quiet, we become ready to fight. the battle goes on and on.... without a reckon...... we cry, we shout, we quarrel, we pray, we plead, we tremble..... no sign of answer..... In the place of smile, we see a blunt face. we become panic. when anger plagues, we take decisions that are vague. Not knowing what to do, having no idea where to go, we occasionally look at you for any direction. To our surprise, there will be no 'Hi-Bye' but the same unspeaking eye. The more we persevere, the condition becomes severe. The more we insist, the problem persists. Then.... We, who neglected your presence, could sense the horribleness of the absence. Only then.... we realise, our craving is not for boons, not for unanswered prayers, but for your love...... the coldness of you...... is the cause of pain. while the repentful breezes touch the gloomy mountain, tears rain....... Then........ you gives us the solace, the peace... dreams vanquish while thoughts cease... we experience the void, the vaccum, no question, no answer, but a complete silence, a distant dream.... No sound disturbs the ear No beauty diverts the eye No odour scents the nose Tongue seeks no taste nothing touches the skin while all senses calm down... we feel the joy unknown. After few quiet moments slowly the magic holds its spell. we wake up from trance like solitude while souls dance in gratitude After all, its human attitude. Though we experience such a great state we never will yearn to own, to attain. we still long for this bad, odd world we crave for momentous joy and temporary glory. we, who loves the replica of you in this world do not wish to seek the real you in this universe why hopes, why despair, why joy, why sorrow, why unions, why break-ups, why relations, why emotions, why glory, why fury, why victory, why defeat why births, why deaths, why dreams, why pains............ After all, God, I changed my question... from why salvation to why creation.......
