Caste
- Mr. Vivekananda Vedula

What is caste? I frankly don’t know caste when I was sent into this world by the almighty. I don’t know what was caste when I was an infant and innocently hugged my servants. I unknowingly forgot my caste when I made a best friend in kindergarten. I never knew what caste meant when I shared my food with my classmate in my preschool. I don’t know even the spelling of caste in my midschool when I shared my pencils and books with my buddies. I deliberately forgot my caste when I shared my hostel room in my high school with whoever came to spend some quality time. I purposefully forgot my caste when my pals came to have a party in my studio. I unconsciously forgot my caste when my first and ever lasting love came to me with open heart to spend rest of life with me. I consciously forgot my caste when I thought my kids that they are human beings and belonged to no caste. Before I even I wanted to know what my caste was and is my life came to its final stages. Time passed so quickly then why didn’t people traveled along with it and crossed the caste barriers. A famous Telugu poet said-- “kulam kulam anni kottukoni chacheru…………. Matham matham anni mothukoni chacheru ………” Life is too short to have a place for caste, think about it friends.
