Rama Krishna Paramahamsa once mentioned a story about two frogs. This story might be a well known story.
There was a marriage going on. It was agreed upon by the villagers that they would get a glass of milk and pour into a BIG bowl. Every person coming to the marriage keeps pouring one glass of milk each into the bowl placed. Two frogs accidentally fell into the bowl. In an attempt to reach the top both frogs keep churning the milk with their legs.
One frog that has less will power and patience gives up soon and falls into the milk and was drowned. The other that has more will power and patience keeps trying ... churning on and on till it swooned. When it wakes up it sees that the milk has turned into curd. As it had got to the top it easily comes out of the bowl and saves it life.
The moral is that, Never give up in life. Try patiently till the end with all will power. You will surely be successful in life.
