A sweet with Greengram OR mung daal. It is little hard work To make this sweet but very tasty and looks great when we have parties.
Greengram 150gms
Rice 1 spoon
Sugar 150gms
Cardamom powder 2 tsp
Butter/margarine 3 tbsp
Oil (for frying)
METHOD:-
Soak the green gram and rice for atleast 2 hours.
Drain and grind coarsely.
Add sugar in one cup of water and make 2 layer syrup.
Add the ground paste to the syrup and fry in a low flame stirring continuously till it becomes thick.
Add ghee.
Once it starts leaving oil in the sides and becomes like a lump, add cardamom powder and remove it from the fire.
Grease a flat plate and transfer the paste to the plate and flatten it to 1/2' thickness.
Once it is cold, cut into small diamond pieces.
Heat oil in a fry pan.
Once the oil is hot enough, fry the diamond pieces until they are crispy.
