IN QUEST OF GOD.
In my quest to realise existence of God, almost I became mad,
Travelling to Holy places all around, me became fully exhausted.
Is that that the Almighty would be found the temples inside?
This poser pondered my mind and again my search renewed.
What is there in a temple? Yes, there is peace ample.
But is God to anyone visible? The answer is not that simple.
Brooding for many years I wandered in search of the Almighty God,
With noble purport in my mind to know how well he is shaped,
Roaming across the countryside, bathing in sacred rivers, I found
Many monasteries, saints enshrined and I sat on a mound secluded;
Thereat a Cosmic Light appeared and me was enlightened,
That Divine Spirit moved me around and unto my ears thus uttered:
'I am in your body and mind, sans me, your existence is void,
Think of me, my dear lad, I shall confer peace in your mind,
Ward off evil desires and greed, which contempt breed
And offer prayers unto me in solitude, you find me and be glad'.
With noble thoughts and pure mind, turning homeward I reconciled
That by devotion and prayers, the Almighty shall ever me around.
