It is a variety curry easy to prepare & very tasty.
Nice to serve in special functions.
We should select equal size & fresh leaves without any breaks.
The leaves should have 20cm long stems,to tie them as packets.
Ingredients:
Colacasia leaves 6(fresh&no breaks)
Gram flour(fresh) 200gms
Onion 2
green chillies 3-4
Garlic 4
Fresh coriander leaves ½ cup
salt to taste
Ghee 1tbsp
Oil 1cup
Turmeric 1pinch
Cumminseeds 1tsp
METHOD:-
Sieve gram flour, chop greenchillies.
Chop thin slices of onions.
Crush garlic, chop the coriander leaves.
Mix everything in ghee to a thick mass.
Clean leaves properly and wipe them carefully without any breaks.
Apply or brush little oil on the leaves, and stuff 1tbsp gramflour masala in the center.
Spread evenly over the leaves and rollthem OR fold them like a
traingle shape (samosa).
Remove the thread from the both sides of the stem(stalk)tie
slightly without splitting the inside stuff.
Remove the extra stalk.
Prepare all of them in the same way.
Heat oilin a big sauce pan, place all packets one by one
gently. Simmer.
Allow to cook till the the leaves get fried and a fine aromatic smell releases (from the cooked masala).
Ensure that gram flour is cooked, then remove from the heat,
Serve hot with plain white rice.
