Articles: Poetry | The genesis of corruption. - Mr. Rama Rao Saripalli
| |
You are unaware of my origin
Even to your ancestors, it is unknown;
Much earlier to the Universe, I was born,
There was a conceptual dispute,
Among Gods, as to 'Who is great'.
Then I was asked to adjudicate.
They greased my palms with boodle,
To obtain a decision favourable.
That day, I did hoist,
My Victory Ensign atop a mast,
I blew conches every where,
And my flags fluttered world over.
Why do you behold me with contempt?
O! honest feller,
Thy end will be fatal
But I remain immortal.
Any moment, if I wish
I can ye finish
Be careful
I can camp in your domicile,
And make your life miserable.
You can't buy for your madam,
Jasmines to begem,
For your son 'Chaatt' or ice creams
And for your daughter lip creams
You can't wear a dress clean,
Or drink an extra cup of coffee own,
You can't even repair shoes torn.
What is your income?
If you won't give gifts to boss' madam
You will incur forever doom
Losing promotional prospect,
And juniors will rule the roost.
You need money,
Where is it?
You don't have any,
Even now awake from slumber,
And take care in future,
Only then you can move further,
If you boast,
That you are honest,
You will be lost.
I can thrive in any tryst,
Be it in Royal Durbar,
Or in wine bar,
Glistening quite bright.
It is time, open your eyes shut,
And my friendly hand accept,
Enjoy bliss and comfort,
I shall with you cooperate,
And make you great,
Your beatitude
Is my attitude.
Come let's extend hands of cooperation,
And form a 'Corruption Corporation,
Dividends we will distribute
And booties we can eat
I will, you M.D designate
And take ye out in processions,
According felicitations and receptions,
Finally, I will install your statues,
And celebrate birth-day functions.
This is my message,
If you accept, it will be a presage.
