Now a days we find on many situations people say how this message of truth considered valuable to our life? Can we go on sathyamaraga like king Harishchandra...? As it is not worth to become ridiculous for present days. There is truth in saying people not to follow Harishchandra. Yes, but if we go deeply once again to the epic story, to know what to follow and what not to follow.
Vishwamitra came to king Harishchandra as matter of test puts his demand of a heap peak of wealth immediately to be disposed to him. As the kingdom of Harishcandra was very prosperous, rain fall from time to time, field’s crops growth, numerous cattle and plentiful milk flowing there. The people of those Vedic times were pious deities’ traditional followers of dharma. And the regency and regiment of the dynasty was exactly under the mighty power of great monks and the verdict of such pious Vedic maharishis was very much honorable and truly acceptable by the kings without giving room to any indignant manners.
It is already said, as his kingdom was very prosperous during the first visit of maharishi Vishvamitra, Harishchandra agreed to give heaps of wealth demanded by him immediately and prepared to make disposal of the same at his end. But, maharishi Vishwamitra assumied a trick not to receive the same at that moment itself. He said to the king Harishchandra to keep that huge amount of wealth for some more time in his custody only; till he returns to take up. There was no word to mouth to refuse for the king Harishchandra as he was so bestowed and bow downed to mahrishi Vishvamitra’s status during those Vedic times and promised to him to do the same. If he would have smoothly declined to keep such bestowed wealth back in his custody, perhaps the whole story not be continued further.
Hi Readers, if we just think about the situation, can we accept such promises to keep such huge amount of wealth as ordinary persons, or any small or big promises without hesitating and thinking about future forth coming antecedents?
Here is the decision at our side for the present days, it mean to say while giving promises to others and keeping the same being ordinary people we must be very careful. And the then question to give up sathyamarga never arises. But, as we have seen our great politicians, ministers or chief ministers are ready to give bogus assurances and false promises, such worst examples finding in our state politicians during past days.
KCN Chandru and Mohan had selected this Classic movie “Sathya Harishchandra” among many super hits of Dr.Rajkumar which is really having contemporariness, and for worth conveying a greater message to people of our society at all times. He has done splendid work to bring it again in Eastman Colour as a treat and tribute to Veteran actor Rajkumar, so we have to congratulate for their issue.
