Recently, I just happened to see a program on TV wherein people play double roles, living in the same family. I mean working against each other with ulterior motives. Someone a local Australian who was sitting with me asked me with a great surprise on her face 'Does this happen in India really?' We heard that India is a place where people live with love and respect to each other. She was just watching the play and asked me to interpret it. To save skin, I told her that all these TV shows are more hyped and it is not the real scenario.
Contrary to this, within one week I heard a close friend of mine from a Metro city in India called me up and was talking to me about how her own people worked against her family. Hers is a love marriage. Her sister-in-law lives in the same city. My friend is leading a happy life and has children too. Her husband's own sister who is a big time villain in this case has encouraged her brother and got him involved in wrong things.
I was surprised to hear that she tried all evil plans and got success. What I could not understand is how the brother did not use his brain. He was getting money by illegal means and helping his sister also to buy a beautiful flat and in the process after few year he is caught and is undergoing trauma, as it should happen with any illegal person.
Now the sister who has taken help poses as though she is helping him out and tries all means again contacting relatives and asking for more help and money to get him out of the problem.
Now my poor friend is suffering and says that she was not able to assess their motives when they are getting close and acting smart all this while. So, just for amassing wealth, people are becoming ruthless. No one cares for others. I am surprised to see people born in same family can not talk heart to heart as their minds and hearts are covered with jealousy, malice and unhealthy competition.
I think sometimes, may be this is the result of our TV Serials which are showing too much cruelty and the relationships are so weak that they break very easily. Here unfortunately all the villians are ladies only. Either the change should come by again media only through some good stories or good family dramas or people should start thinking twice before they watch any serial, as they are having bad impact on society. Too many murders taking place.
