Urdu is born and flourished in India. It ruled over the country for
400 years. The first translation in Urdu was done by son of SHAIK
WALIULLAH DEHALWI
Shaik Abdul Qadir during end of 17th or start of 18th century, next
his son translated it into Urdu. Now we can't see any Urdu famous
tafseer, without name of SHAIK WALIULLAH as every tafseer alim, will
definitely refer it, and then only translate. When Shaik waliullah
rahamatullahi alaihi, did translation from Arabic to Parsi first
time in history, the ulema around him accused him and stamped kufr
on him.
But see the wonder, now Urdu became a stumbling block for the spread
of Islam in India .As most of the Muslims of northern India adopted
Urdu as their mother tongue they are imposing Urdu on all other
people as if it is a pre requisite qualification for any body to
enter in mosques. Urdu speaking Muslims treat non Urdu speaking
Muslims as second class citizens as if people who can't speak Urdu
do not have faith in Allah at all.
Some Muslim scholars say that Arabic language is compulsory for all
Muslims as they have to gather at Makka Hajj pilgrimage and chant
prescribed suraas uniformly in one Arabic language only.
Allah never made kaba a burden upon all his people.Kaabaa is not his
residense.Allah is omnipresent .Let us be united in faith, not in
uniforms or languages. Devotion on Allah is more important than
belief in kaba. Allah is responsible for the thousands of languages
in the world. Non Arabic languages also can efficiently perform the
same role to the people of those languages, as how the Arabic
language is expressing the meanings of the Glorious Qur'an to the
Arabs. We should not degrade other languages making comparisons with
Arabic .Allah respects all languages. We too should give respect to
other languages. People will never unite through a foreign language.
If it were to be so Allah might make Arabic as the mother tongue of
all the people of the world, or at least for all the Muslims of the
earth. But why he created different languages?
