Is it our intention to make the childern unhappy and unhealthy youth?How can an unhappy, unfit person turn out to be a good citizen?
If you ask me the Examination system should be scrapped. The theoritical studies are OK but Practical oriented Education should be given. We donot have to wait till engineering course to assemble small electrical or Electronic circuits. High school Children should be shown practically atleast how a calling bell works. High school children should be allowed to make small Electrical/Electronic circuits. Projects can be given. It will be a good base to engineering. A High school child atleast should know how electricity flows into the gadgets at home. Will be able to do small repairs. In mechanical studies by the time they are out of school, atleast they can be shown how a car works. They should be able to atleast clean the spark plug when their motorbike gives trouble.
They can be shown small chemistry and physics experiments. This will create interest in sciences for their further studies. They should be given small projects.
They can be shown mathemetical models to learn mathematics.
In History they can be given skits to play. Thus they will learn theatre art as well and do some learning. Schools can take children to historical places for excursion.
Music and Dance can be introduced as subjects. Painting can also be taught.
The schools should be equipped with an Auditorim for Music, Dance and Theatre art, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical and Electrical labs which can enable small experimenting. There should be a good play ground to enable children to play games like Basket ball, Foot ball, Tennis. There shoould be a Gym for the exercise. Yoga and meditaion hall should be there where they can be taught Yoga. This will cultivate good life style and culture which keeps them away from Stress and improves their mental health too. The school Authorities should not be given permission to establish a school without all these facilities.
