See the Aarushi murder which happened recently. We don't know who the culprit is. But family life is becoming a wreck recently. Frankly speaking, coming away from India we feel much better as here most of the time, people engage themselves in good service and constructive activities, rather than collecting information about others and working against each other.
Children who are taught from childhood about how rich they are or how they should try to pose rich in front of others, unfortunately think that what their elders are teaching them is the order of the day. Here, in foreign countries, we generally don’t see people all the time discussing expensive clothes or jewellery or comparing themselves with others.
They live life and enjoy to their best in whatever way it gives them satisfaction. Here they are not hurting others or living for others. But, unfortunately, in India the situation is not the same. Pomp and show is the order of the day. People are not hesitating to do anything for money. Here, if we really analyse, the culprits are ladies. They demand things which are beyond the means of the person who is supposed to lookafter his family. But if a wife wants all the time, a big necklace or a waist belt as her sister or neighbour is wearing, how can the poor guy satisfy her? He resorts to wrong means.
So, these days people are educated and the real ornament is their personality and education and knowledge. But these ornaments will not give real beauty if the face reflects the inner feelings like ego, jealousy or pride or unhappiness all the time. Ladies should learn that no one gives respect to you if you are waring 10kgs of gold and if your husband is jailed.
Unfortunately, I have also seen people who are involved in crimes move around without any shame on their faces and people think and treat them as though they are big time heroes. A person who is innocent, straightforward and truthful is a fool for them. As long as these things go on, I don’t think that India is really progressing. By wearing western dresses or by moving around with boys or going to pubs is not real development.
If we progress in other areas technologically, it is commendable. But, the attitude, narrow minded approach and harming others for our own benefit should be dealt with strictly to become good human beings.
