Thou examinations are not being conducted Quizes can be conducted periodically.
The High school childern of 9th and 10th can be taught First Aid. And small cockroach disection like practicals can be taught. They can also teach some carpentary.
Computers is any way being taught in many schools. primary school children can be taken out once in a week to places like postoffices, banks to learn how to sytem works. They should be able to make a register post.
If you ask me when they find time to do all these things. Saturdays can be dedicated to practical courses which I had listed in this article. Students can be provided a choice of learning. Like some one may opt Guitar class to painting. Some courses can be introduced year wise. But there should be some compulsory couses like Yoga and meditation.
More than that the teachers should be friendly and the sessions should be interactive. They should inculcate participatory culture into students and teach them team work. They also should be encouraged to party and birthday parties should be celebrated in schools. They should often party and picnics should be conducted periodically.
What I intend to say is that rather than rank based, the education should be a practical oriented education which will give them some confidence to do something when they go to the industry when they grow up. It should not be like 'Koti vidyalu kooti korake'. Schools should not turn out into professional institutes. They can learn professional courses in professional colleges like Engineering,medicine etc...
'Neti Balale repati pourulu'. Future of the country depends on how we groom our children.
