If matter is powerful, thought is omnipotent. Bring this thought to bear upon your life, fill yourselves with the thought of your almightiness, your majesty and your glory. Control your negative emotions; suppress hatred, feeling of anger. It will do lot of good. Develop loving to all living beings; see in them the same ataman that you’ve. Get rid of jealousy. The more we grow in love and virtue and holiness, the more we see love and virtue and holiness outside.
Take responsibility, do your work and don’t blame others for your non-achievements. The real happiness lies in shouldering the responsibilities without any anticipation of fruits for your work. Love, truth and unselfishness should be our highest ideal as in them lies manifestation of power. Work is worship; realize God in your work. An inactive person can’t survive, choose to do work incessantly. Every duty is holy and devotion to duty is the highest form of worship of God. Inculcate motive power of doing good without expecting anything in return. It is sure you will get back it thousand fold more. Understand the law of nature, it only gives without asking. So do all good and give all you can with unselfishness that will lead you to success. This self-control will tend to produce a mighty will, a character which makes people to see a Christ, Mohammed or a Buddha in you.
Integrity, sincerity are the tools to achieve success in life.
Love towards humanity pays you. Hatred will only spread hatred. Never allow weakness to take over you. Develop upon on your strengths; convert your weakness to strengths. Do not talk of wickedness of the world and all its sins. Whenever darkness comes, assert reality and everything adverse will vanish. Be brave; always hold on to the highest with obedience and faithfulness.
One should not hate himself, because to advance one must possess faith in himself first and then in God. One who has no faith in himself can never have faith in God. Learning is always an unending process, it should continue till one reaches his grave; the one who thinks that he knows all has reached his grave much before his death. Imitation on the other hand will never help for progress. Keep your doors of learning open from others; there is nothing wrong in it. But be conscious of learning well of good things and discarding bad things. Be hold on to the ethics, they are vital for a good personality development.
Develop power of concentration; simultaneously develop the power of detachment too. Otherwise one may have to face sufferings. This is the systematic development of the mind. There is no limit to the power of human mind. The first step in training the mind is to begin with breathing. Regular breathing puts the body in harmonious condition. In practicing breathing, the first thing to consider is Asana or posture. Any posture in which a person can sit easily is his proper position. The spine should be kept free, and the weight of body supported by ribs. Do not try by contrivances to control the mind; simply breathing exercise is enough to master it.
Develop the sense of equality; do not pity any one. See not the sin; see the Lord in the person. One should abandon the thoughts that all others are lower than him. Only then it is considered as equality. Feel free; throw all nonsense to the winds. When one acquires the feeling of non-attachment, then there will be neither good nor bad to see. It is only selfishness that causes the difference between good and evil. If one attains the state of equality, the sameness all causes of misery and evil automatically will vanish. This is what is called in Vedanta as attaining real freedom. One who succeeds in attaching or detaching at will his mind, avoids loss of power of mind and really possesses character which will lead towards freedom. He who realizes can endure; speak unto others the message of fearlessness:” Thou art that”, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached”.
