What’s the message to India?
Even tiny nations in South America and Africa are thinking out of the box and into the future. That’s the reason we can see these nations getting prepared to capture the organic food market, which is going to be a huge economy. Even Australia, which is technologically a developed nation, is vying to capture the major share of the global organic food market. Currently it has the highest amount of land area under organic management in the whole world.
This gives a clear message to Indians and especially the policy makers in India that we are on the way to losing a golden opportunity for we are so enamoured with IT and BPO that we can’t see anything beyond this market.
Unless the Indian government solves the massive unemployment and poverty, especially in rural areas, India can never make ‘real’ progress. What better way is there than organic farming to solve the mass unemployment?
