Mending a broken heart...
Sometimes the one you love turns out to be the one who hurts you themost, and sometimes the friend who takes you into his arms and cries when you cry turns out to be the love you never knew you wanted.
“How can you mend a broken heart?” “How can you stop the rain from falling? ... I just want to live again.'..
There's absolutely no way to sweeten heartbreak. While it can spawn creativity in poets and country western songwriters, the whole situations pretty much stinks on a whole. Any way you look at it, being the one that was 'dumped' is always worse than being the one doing the dumping. It doesn't even matter how much you liked the other person. Your ego is bound to get bruised and cracked.
And in these fast times of love on the run . it seems that more and more people are suffering from broken hearts--and sometimes broken bodies--brought on by disastrous love affairs.
break-ups tend to differ in character in Love and Romance, but the line of separation is as fuzzy as is the difference between the two forms of relationships. In a romantic liaison, one person may dissolve the relationship before the other senses it has run its course. Often, the jilted party desperately tries to renew the relationship. They do this not out of love but out of the loss of face and the desperate need to recover self-esteem.
In contrast, when lovers break up, each is left with the haunting feeling that something is still amiss. While apart, each still functions as a part of the original 'we.' From time to time each continues looking at the world through the eyes of the other.
But whatever the case maybe the hurt and devastation is common to both love and romance. Disastrous Love Affairs (DLAs) have become a common occurrence these days. One day your friend might be head over heals in love with someone while the next day the loved one becomes Enemy Number 1.
As an example, Consider the case of the 25-year-old computer analyst whose 4-year Love ended last month. In reality, the relationship fell apart several months ago, but he was hopeful that he and his wife-to-be girlfriend would stay together, and, after they had broken up, get back together, despite the rocky relationship. His love made him persistent, he called her, begged her to take him back, and went to her house to sing their song underneath her balcony. Well life isn’t so easy and romantic like in the movies; instead of winning her heart back all he had was a black eye and a broken nose to show for his efforts at love.
