Posted by: UK At: 7, Nov 2002 11:16:45 PM IST Life in usa is really good beside the feeling that we are away from OUR PEOPLE .we stay in a state called arkansas and we recently celebrated Diwali in a high school.some games were conducted and all of us participated .we even danced merrily and arranged a potluck.....each of us preparing some variety of dish to relish on that festival day.we played bingo also called housie in india.it was fun.Every year we celebrate diwali in a grand manner.we participate in dances, songs, skit, fashion show and so on.despite hectic schedule ,we gather at one place every day before 10 days of the function for practice.we particularly miss indian food .restuarant food is really not good in our place .so we do miss that part o four lives.

here indian restaurents are owned by pakis or bangaldeshis. i dont like their way of cooking. i would rather prefer Pizza hut!
