ok,next question :
A three man jury has two members each of whom independently has probability ‘p’ of making the correct decision and a third member tosses a coin for every decision. A one man jury has propability ‘p’ of making the correct decision. Which jury has the better probability of making the correct decision? If decision in three man jury is taken by majority rule?

i think in the second step that should be (4/6) instead of (4/8),then i will get the answer as (1/14),what do u say Mr. sampath??
probability that india and pak reach finals - thats very complicated,leave it.we have to make too many adjustments and assumptions.better switch on to the next question.??

prev prob: I think it is not correct to take the sum of total probabilities to 1.
It is (3/7)(4/8)(1/2)(1/2)=3/56
