| Tiruvuru is said to be the native place of yesteryear Telugu cine actress Late Smt Savitri Gemini Ganesan,who led an untold miserable life in Anna Nagar East in Chennai, some years back.
Akkineni Nageswararao was staying in Chennai city on the day of Savitri's death. He accompanied the crowd to burial ground.
